If there is air in the tank, empty the tank and try again.

If you are using an extension cord, don`t. Plug the compressor right into a socket and try starting it again.

If neither of these work, you need to check your start capacitor. See the page on this site explaining how.

task force VLT0881503 manifold

The manifold on my Task Force VLT-881503 air compressor is broken. All sites say it is a obsolete part. Any alternatives???

If you think of it, the manifold is simply plumbing.

Not only can you build a new one using standard brass and copper fittings from a decent plumbing store, but you can also move things around when you do, to better suit your needs, if that works for you.

Take a close look at the manifold now, draw a schematic where all the lines flow to, take a digital photo or two to remind you what it looks like after you disassemble it and forget how it went back together, then take it off and with you to the plumbing store to match up what you need.

If you dump the tank air and then try to start it, does it start OK?

If so, check out your Unloader Valve to make sure it is working properly.

If it doesn't start with no pressure, please post a comment here with more info.

Cheers,

Bill
