Tank builds no pressure.

After some extensive research to the problem of my compressor tank not building pressure, I was told to try ordering a set of replacement reed valves.

I ordered and installed the new valves. This was not the fix to the problem.

Air seems to be blowing out of the holes of the intake.

While plugging the holes with your fingers, your fingers get sucked in, the tank will build approximately 5 lbs of pressure but no more.

My email is BradWahlig@yahoo.com and would like to thank you in advance. Brad Wahlig

G'day Brad.

If air is "huffing" out the intake port when the compressor is running, then you do have an intake valve problem.

When the piston cycles, when it's descending it's pulling air in through the intake port into the cylinder, and when it rises, it's driving air into the tank.

The intake valve must close when this happens, otherwise air blows right back out, and the pressure in the tank doesn't increase.

First, fix the valve problem and then see what happens.

Keep us up to date, K?
