Hi, Bill

My compressor is two stage motor driven. There is one time piston damaged. And same thing happed few days ago, i saw smoke coming out from crankcase and breather cap(oil filling cap). Then i stop it. Open up and check, found pistion and rings crashed to pieces, 1st & 2nd stage vavles all damaged, connecting rod bend. cylinder badly scratched. Really bad damaged. then we replace all the damage parts with new spare. Everything is going well, oil pr, cooling water pr, HP and LP. But the only problem is, crankcase has more pressure inside then normal. I can feel it from breather cap, and aslo after running 5 minutes, slightly smoke coming out from the breather cap, and also slightly increase. So, can you give me any suggestion, which part i should check again? or where is the proper causes... thanks, and i appreciate the efforts you make.

yours, Phenando

Phenando, I'm thinking that you have compressed air bypass of the piston seals, allowing pressurized air into the crankcase.

By the same process, crankcase oil is getting into the compressed air going into the air tank. The compressor pump gets very hot when it is working, and that may be the source of the burnt oil smell.

Good luck.
