switch shut off and slow AIR BUILD UP

i CHANGED OUT MY SHUT OFF SWITCH THINKING IT WOULD WORK FINE. THE AIR BUILDS UP SLOW FROM 90-120 AND WONT SHUT OFF. HAD THE ELECTRIC MOTOR GONE THROUGH.IM CONFIDENT THE BELT IS TITE. WONDERING IF I MAY WIRED SOMTHING WRONG.PRS SEEMS TO BE WORING OK.PROBABLY NEED TO JUST CHECK EVERYTHING AGAIN. THANKS BILL

Howdy Bill. On the TROUBLESHOOTING page where you originally posted this, there is a link to a page that is about "why an air compressor will not build pressure". Have a read of that for more info.

In order of likelihood, your valves are leaking, you have an internal gasket letting go at 90 PSI, you have a leak that manifests itself at 90 PSI.

Have a look at the page, check out what you can, and post here as a comment to tell us what you found.
