Speedaire throughs breaker sometimes

I have a old speedaire uaually it works ok but some times it builds up to the normal pressure and it hangs up and throughs the breaker it seems like it is frozen and will not trun over. When I leave it a long or rock the flywheel back and fourth it will free up and run ok, I do not use it very much only when I have a small job to do. Also I noticed it hissing like it is still trying to build up pressure at the end of the pressure cycle.

Nelson, I'd first check the pressure switch. It may be faulting when it reaches the cut out pressure level.

Also there is a short round funnel like tube behind the flywheel with a spongy like filter in it, is this a lube port or a vent port.
