Speedaire model 5z185b

by Gerry
(gilbert mn)

Is it ok to transport this compressor lying down?

Bill says...

Hello Gerry.

I can't tell you for sure as I am not familiar with that model.

I can tell you that if it is a lubricated Speedaire, then you no more want to lay it down in other than it's normal operating state, than you would want to turn your car on it's side. Not good for the car, nor the compressor, and you will have oil all over the place.

It were me, I'd keep my air compressor in the orientation that has it's legs at the bottom.

Cheers,

Bill
