unit draws high amps as the air pressure rises

Hi Julio:

I'm not sure what your question is, but here is a reply to what I think you might be driving at.

As your compressor tank fills with air, the motor has to work harder to continue forcing air into the tank against the pressure that is already there.

If the amperage draw of the motor, though increasing, is within the specs of that motor, then there may not be a problem.

If, however, the draw is outside the specs, then it could be an indication of impending motor problems, I would think.
