I have a Speedaire air Compressor model # 4B247B with a 2 HP electric Dayton motor Model # 6K773AB THe air compreesor runs up to about 100psi but does not get to the 125 psi shut off pressure and when air tools are used it looses air presure quickly. Is there something wrong in the pump or is the dayton electrical motor too small.?
thanks

Tom, it seems clear that something has failed on your compressor, as it is supposed to build pressure to cut out and then stop.
Also, the same problem(s) that is preventing the compressor to get to cut out pressure levels is also affecting the overall efficiency of the compressor.
Under the Troubleshooting section is a link to pages about why compressors run and don't build pressure. You need to read those pages, do the checks referred to, and then post again with specifics about what you did and didn't find, to allow the two of us to pinpoint your compressor problem.
Cheers,
Bill
