I am in need of a manual for a speedaire 2.5 hp 11 gallon oilless compressor with a mod# of 5z642b, ser# l032195-00634. Is there a place on line I can find this or can you fax one? Bill answers... Where can I get a air filter for the same compressor? Bill answers... Hello David: As I understand it, Dayton is the house brand for Grainger Supply. If it were me, I'd visit this page to get the contact information for my local Grainger branch office, and call them. Since it's their product, I would expect they could help with both the owner's manual (if there is one) and the air filter. Cheers, Bill

I have contacted grainger about parts for model #52045B and that compressor is discontinued and their are no parts available. Does someone specilize in speedaire repair? Bill answers... Hi Courtney: A very good question. I don't know of a shop in the U.S. that specializes in out-of-model Speedaire compressor repairs. If anyone else knows of one, we would appreciate the info. The only other thing I can suggest is to visit your local compressor repair shop (ask your local big box store who services the compressors they sell) visit that company and ask them. All compressors can be repaired. If parts of an out of date compressor are needed, then they can be manufactured by a machine shop. The question is, does it cost more to fix an old one than to get a new one? Your call. Cheers, Bill

If not, got to the Speedaire button on the nav bar, visit the Speedaire page, and follow the guides to finding your local source. Getting manuals for many different types of older brand or none brand name compressors is tough. It's been on my list for some time to put up a manuals page, yet so far, I can't find a reputable source either. :-) Sorry about that. If Speedaire can't help you, and you know what it is you want to do, visit the Repairs page and see if there's a compressor repair company nearby. Maybe they can help. Cheers, Bill

I have a Speedaire compressor Model# 5Z628C. My friend took the pump apart??? anyway he lose the main bearing and the end cap for the crankshaft.Or it might be called the bearing housing. You should be able to get the manual from a Grainger branch. They tell me that they stock parts for their compressors going back 30 years. I have a speedaire 30 gallon compressor with a 5hp gas motor. I do not have the pull start cover and I would like to know if it has a Briggs and Stratton or a Tecumseh motor ? Bill answers... Go to the Speedaire page from the nav bar on this website, and follow the guidelines to finding the nearest Speedaire dealer.
