Speedairde Motor hums only

I LIVE BY THE OCEAN AND HA VE NOT USED IT FOR A FEW MONTHS THE MOTOR HUMS ANDD EXTENSION CORD. HEATED UP AFTER A BIT SO TURNED IT OFF QUICKLY? ?

The humming noise could be the sign of an electrical fault, or it could be that the extension cord is too small to supply the air compressors needs. If you were using the extension cord before, then I suspect you've done damage to your motor by chronically under powering in, and now that the motor is feeling a bit crotchety after being left alone for so long, it's putting up resistance to starting.

Lose the extension cord first.

Dump all air from the tank next, then close the drain valve.

Try again to get it going.

If it doesn't go, I suspect a start capacitor problem.
