Speedair model 2Z355J doesn't stop running

Pressure gets buid up the safety valve opens and compresor is still running. The pressure gets build up past the set point. Looks like pressure regulator fails. Which part I need to replase

Go to the nav bar and click on the link to the Pressure Switch information page.

It is the pressure switch that reacts to the pressure of the compressor to turn the motor on and off.

If the compressor is not shutting off at the cut out pressure set point, it's my bet that your pressure switch is at fault.

 Fixing it of weird way.

We unpluged the compressor, released all air from the tank, plugged it back to the outlet and it is working fine now. One co-worker told me he fixed the same problem on this compressor this way few yers ago. It doesn't make any sence to me, I think it is intermitten problem and it will be back but it is working OK for now.
