Speedair Air Compressor Overheating

We have a Speedair Air Compressor --

Serial #
N.DeSerie
122095L-795897

Model#
5Z3988 2

It is overheating so we suspect that we need another/new motor. However, the motor on the unit has no information on the motor plate. It's an AO Smith Centuray AC Motor, but it doesn't tell size, hp, or anything. Can you tell me what size/model of motor this air compressor unit takes, or suggest someone who might be able to help us?

Thanks

Bill answers...

Howdy, and thank you for visiting this site and writing in.

You seem to have all the information necessary to get your new motor already.

Go to the Nav bar on the home page, click on the Speedaire button, and follow the guides on that page to tell you where to find your closest Speedaire / Grainger parts supplier.

Provide them with the information you've provided me. I suspect that will be enough for them to tell you what motor you need.

If you would rather have someone else take care of it, go the the Repairs page from the Nav bar, and see a local company has posted their contact information.

Cheers,

Bill
