sparmax with 2.5 litre airtank leaks

I would just like to know urgently if leaks within the compressor can have a detrimental effect on the performance?

Elaine, I'm not entirely sure what you mean by the question.

First off, if the compressor has internal leaks, then its supply of usable air pressure and flow will likely diminish. If, at this diminished level, the flow and pressure is satisfactory for your application... then that's OK.

If the leaks within the compressor are the valves or gaskets, then, aside from running longer than normal, there is the possibility of overheating.

Other than that, not quite sure. Please provide additional details.
