I am trying to identify this compressor. It is a twin-piston compressor, currently has its shut-off at 125 psi. The nameplate has been painted over, but I can read what I think is the model number, "WGS 211 XP" and a serial "A168185".

The fan pulley is labeled "E/C 17273-2", the body of the pump "E/C 31770" and the cylinder casting "E/C 31766".

It is powered by a vintage Westinghouse 1/3 HP Thermoguard type FJ "explosion resisting motor for hazardous locations".

Thanks for your help!

Possibly a small Kellogg
by: Roger

The shape of the crankcase, the shape of the blades in the flywheel and the knurled oil filler cap say Kellogg to me.

No, not personally, sorry.
But people drop in and sometimes have ideas. We'll hope for that.

The square box is the pressure switch.

Any ideas as to the compressor head manufacturer?

Hi Doug, the rubber hose does feed the tank near the gauge. It is definitely a cobbled-together system, mostly water pipe fittings and a non-rated tank. Any ideas as to the manufacturer of the compressor head?

Does the hose that appears to come off the pump head feed the tank near the gauge?

And the black, cubic box is the pressure switch?

I suspect this is a hybrid of two or three compressors, FWIW.
