sandborn sla7006056 single stage compressor stops building air at 60 psi .


Immediately before this it blew a gasket and was lugging at 125 psi .

Motor meters within acceptable amps for the stated name plate.

Check valve

Yes. If the check valve were leaking, air would bleed out of the tank and out through the unloader.

Since your air compressor reaches 60 PSI and does not build further air pressure, yet it keeps running, that would suggest a valve or valves failing or an internal gasket failing.

If it was the check valve would it not bleed off when supply line were disconnected ?
