Should I feel air escaping between the pressure adjust gauge and the hose connection

Have leaking air at hose connection where gauge meets hose

Dave, gauge meets hose? Usually the gauge is hard piped into the piping from the tank to the discharge coupling into which you plug your air line connector.

Regardless, I guess... if it's a loose fitting, you need to tighten it.

Bill

Sylvain, for me this points to an issue with the power supply (could be the power source, could be a capacitor) or changing load conditions outside of the normal loads for the compressor, preventing your motor from running consistently.

Do not use an extension cord. If you are, try powering the air compressor by plugging it right into a wall socket. Make sure that socket is only powering the compressor, and no other appliances are pulling power at the same time the compressor is trying to run.

Remove and clean the intake filter to take this potential problem out of the equation.

If it is an oil lubed compressor, make sure the oil is at the right level.

Do these things, and post a comment here as to results, please.

Cheers,

Bill

Kobalt model 215921 compressor - Missing image - downloaded and paid for several manuals

I have downloaded and paid for several manuals for my Kobalt model 215921 compressor. And on page 18 under Pulley Alignment Fig. 9 the image is missing.

Where can I get a copy of this image?

Since you didn't pay for them and download them from my site, my first suggestion is to ask the folks where you bought the manuals from.

Second option, maybe a kind Kobalt compressor owner will have the manual for this compressor and can post that info here for you.

Cheers,

Bill

comp keeps shutting off ~ pressure switch?

Tim, based on what you are saying, I would look first to the pressure switch.

If you watch it, you should be able to see the toggle trip the unloader valve as the switch trips.

If the switch is tripping before the cut out pressure level is reached, it's probably time to change it.

Cheers,

Bill
