Hi, I have severe loss of pressure on a model 23, with air is escaping out and the inlet / air filter end of the machinem, it was puttig some oil through the filters and pipes before this happened. do you think its worth repairing, is it still possible to pick up a repair/parts manual for this machine.

Thanks,
Maurice

When you say a severe loss of pressure, do you mean it gets up to pressure then releases? Or doesnt get to pressure? What pressure does it get up to?
Air coming from the air filter is normal when blowing down (after it gets to pressure) but not all the time.
I have many manuals including the Hydrovane 23 but would need to know which year your compressor was made also the serial number if possible, if you could answer these questions on here and send me an email, i can send you what i have. carland@vina-home.co.uk

Thanks
Carl

Hi

I have a loss of pressure on model 23pu, It has been stood for a year or so but before it has stood the oil and filters were changed and the machine when run up sounds like it should

quite pressure build up straight away but only up to 50% there is a black dot on the gauge it does not go above it, air is escaping out of the inlet / air filter end of the machine

the pressure gauge is building up to 50% and does not get any more I did get it up to 100% but then heard something click and it lost pressure on the gauge.

any help would be good as I would like to keep it running.

Did it get the recommended oil?

Sounds like one or more vanes may be stuck.

Unless there is another problem preventing it, I'd try just letting it run awhile to see if it will right itself.
