Air end failures
by: Bill

It's very hard to accept that it's the air compressor at fault when you've had four different compressors that all failed the same way.

I surmise that the issue may be environmental, and that you may have something in the air that is being ingested by the air intake that is the root cause, or it's a ambient environment problem.

That and / or the commissioning hasn't been done properly?

Share with the us a complete description of the environment in which the compressors that fail are located, if you would.

HI
Bearings are okay.
4 failure means 4 compressors seized one after other.
All mostly seized immediately after starting.

Four?

Either they are using badly rebuilt air ends, or there must be some mis-alignment of the motor to air end coupling, causing bearing wear/failure.

That is assuming the oil circulation system is working correctly.
