Sears Model No. 919.184192

Owned this compressor less than 1 year. Seals on filter/regulator/lubricator starting failing. Replaced seals./ Replaced filter/regulator/lubricator.

Noitced oil present in air line feeding regulator. When compressor shuts off, oil leaks from the pressure relief tube, just before it connects to the pressure switch. I estimate the compressor has less than 25 hours and now I learn that because we are a commercial business Sears onlr warrants for 90 days. Can you please say how the oil is getting in the air line?
Thank you,
Gary

Gary, I am sorry you are having these problems. It seems to me that commercial business or not, 25 hours cumulative time isn't very long to run a compressor before failures occur. Unless it was run none-stop, of course, Then Duty Cycle may have been an issue.

Some reasons why oil gets into air lines is that it is blowing by the piston seals and getting jammed into the tank with the compressed air, or you have a gasket / seal leak somewhere that is allowing sump oil into the tank somehow. Sometimes over filling the sump can cause a problem too.

I am glad you sent in a photo, unfortunately, on my monitor, I cannot read the words and the image is hard to see.

Cheers,

Bill
