brand new kobalt 3.7 hp model221565 single stage compressor oil sprays out of breather after it runs for awhile

Gary, by breather, do you mean the air intake through the filter at the top of the pump?

That's not good, if so. It were my compressor, I'd take it back and ask for a new one.
