safety valve dumps air

when it reaches 8 bar it dumps air till it reaches 6bar then keeps repeating the process with the motor running constantly

Is 8 bar the normal cut out pressure for the air compressor?

When the pressure reaches the 8 bar level, where is the air dumping from, please?
