Rigid compressor starts, vents at high pressure, will not restart at low pressure.

Rigid of25135cw air copressor. When swithced from off to auto compressor will start sometimes. Other times the re-set button must be pushed. Once started, will run to high cut off point and vent. pressure falls slightly below high point,about from 120 t0 110 or so, and attempts to restart but can't(hums). Pressure falls to empty but does not restart unless the reset button is pushed again.

Jerry, that it will start sometimes, suggests that you may have a pressure switch failing, or, the start capacitor is failing.

The next time it tries to start and doesn't make sure that you still have power running from the pressure switch to the motor.

If the power is to the motor, and the motor doesn't start, I think it's your start capacitor that's wonky.
