Right kind of oil

Just purchased a 1974 Sears model 102, 2 stage 5 hp compressor, manufacuted by Kargard Ind Inc, Monroe N.C.
model on pump says 325. Can't find out what oil to use,have tried getting a hold of sears with no luck and couldn't find anything on Kargard.. Please Help!

When a company builds an electro-mechanical item like an air compressor, their engineers specify the correct lubricant. They do that for a reason, in case there are specific issues in their compressor that only a specific lubricant will address.

In the absence of official recommendation though, have a read of these pages go get some idea how to come up with the right compressor oil.
