replacing switch

having trouble replacing before all parts dissassemble themselves. compressor is a 2 hp 3 gallon model no. 919.162080. I was checking contact points but all appeared fine.
compressor want come on at all and has been working fine.
any solutions?

Before you replace anything, please visit the troubleshooting page and click the link to compressor won't start. Do some of the checks noted there, if you would.

Then, please comment here with a bit more info, telling us what you found.
