I replaced one of my gages temporarily with a plug and now my compressor won't build over 40 psi is this because of the plug or something else like maybe the regulator or something

Plugged DeWalt gauge port
by: Bill

Jamey, which gauge port did you plug, the tank gauge or the regulator gauge?

If you plugged the regulator gauge port, and then reinstalled the regulator gauge, does the new gauge have the same pressure range display as the old?

When you turn the adjustment knob on the regulator, does the gauge show the pressure change as you dial upwards from zero PSI?

Are you measuring the pressure build on the tank gauge or the regulator gauge?

Plugging the port should not have affected the compressors ability to build pressure.
