REGULATOR INLET/OUTLET SIZES

IF THE INLET TO YOUR REGULATOR IS 1/2" NPT SHOULD THE OUTLET BE THE SAME? mOST THAT IV'E LOOKED AT ORE 1/2 X 1/4

Hi Marty.

Most of the regulators I've seen have common ports. If 1/4" NPT in, then they are normally 1/4 NPT out. Same with 3/8 and 1/2.

Some manufacturers have changeable ports, using a common regulator that can be plumbed, using the changeable port attachments, to suit the plumbing.

I'm not sure about yours, however. What make is it?

Sometimes the regulator port size is an indicator of the unit's flow capability.
