Regulator for AIRMEC Air compressor Model "Contractor 2000" (made in Italy) is busted

The regulator I use on my 12 year old (hardly used) AIRMEC Air compressor Model "Contractor 2000" (made in Italy) is busted. Not sure if I'm missing parts. Please see picture. If any parts are missing are between the red knob and the black plastic base. Pehaps a long metal pin? The part is almost $60 ... I can ger an used compressor for that. I do not use the compressor more than 1 hour total a year. Advise?

Alfredo, a general purpose mini-air regulator sells for around $15 new. Why not just replace the whole regulator with a new one, than trying to source parts?
The regulator's purpose is to reduce the pressure coming from the tank, and to maintain that downstream set point air pressure at the setting as long as the upstream air pressure stays at a higher pressure level than the set point.
Therefore, if you can get the air from the tank to the new regulator, and the plumbing downstream from the regulator to the discharge coupling for your air hose, the compressed air doesn't care how you do it. If you have to re-plumb the system to take the old regulator out of the air circuit, then do it.
Cheers,
