Proforce air compressor - ran out of oil - Motor just hums, shuts down then tries again.
I have a 6 gallon Proforce air compressor that ran low on oil while I was doing a roofing job. It seized up, I let it cool down and added
oil to the recommended level but it still won't start.
Is there a way to free the compressor up?

If it overheated to the point where you had some heat-welding going on, then probably not.
If it were mine, I'd tear it down, lube it thoroughly, and reassemble and see.
Good luck, mate!
