hi there i have the same problem got a 40 gallon tank and a 2 horse motor given to me and i to have the same problem never had a comepessor before and not sure what is wrong all is new and just don't have a lot of air even regulator is at full 100psi one each gauge

Good, a bit more info. Think about the air line from the tank as a pipe.
There is nothing at the beginning of the pipe (at the tank) to sop the air flowing down the pipe, as it's fully open, and it's not likely there would be anything in the tank that could block that pipe.
Often the first thing in the pipe coming out of the tank is a tee, and jutting up out of that tee is a compressed air gauge. That gauge shows you the pressure in the tank, and if it's reading 100 PSI, then there is nothing blocking the flow of air down the pipe to that gauge.
Then the compressed air usually flows down that pipe to a regulator (though if you had your druthers, it would be a filter first!) and the purpose of the regulator is explained on the page... wait for it, Regulators.
The regulator gauge is often on the regulator itself, or as it sound in your case, downstream of it, and your regulator gauge is showing 100 PSI, so compressed air is flowing down the pipe from the tank to that gauge too.
At this point, the only thing that could be stopping air from flowing down the pipe is the regulator itself. Since yours shows a 100 PSI reading, that regulator is working, and if the regulator was closed the regulator pressure would show zero, yours must be open.
The pipe continues from the regulator (all of this in a very short distance) and it's full of air.
The pipe then normally ends in a checked coupler. Please see the Coupler page for more info on them.
Air will not flow out of this coupler until you have inserted a connector into it. Please see Connectors for more info.
Have you plugged an air line connector, preferably on a hose or air line, into the coupler?
