Pressure air leaking from start switch?

by Adam B
(Norway)

Hi, I have a year old Clarke Air compressor that has just started to leak air from the black plastic "box" that covers the start switch. The compressor charges up to full pressure, but as soon as the motor shuts off, air starts to leak from the electrical cable leading into the switch.

Obviously this is simply where the air is escaping from, out of the switch casing, but I cannot figure out what is wrong with the pressure system.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Adam B

See the pages on this site about unloader valves and how they work with the tank check valve.

I suspect you have a check valve leak based on what you have written.
