I have a 'F' series BlackMax 3.5 HP compressor. the plastic knob (2a) on regulator/manifold has broken, and apparently a replacement is no longer available. The compressor works well otherwise.

If a replacement knob is truly unavailable, do you know of a source for a replacement regulator/manifold ass'y?

I appreciate your help.

Regulator knob

If it's just the knob, you might drop by one of the local harbor freight stores and look at their regulators - there's a chance the knob from one of those may fit your regulator, given that most of this stuff seems to come from a few makers.

Oh my, the joys of out of date cast manifolds.

In the absence of a source for an OEM replacement, you will have to build it.

You actually can do that fairly easily if you have a decent plumbing / air conditioning parts shop nearby, who can likely set you up with the bushings, nipples etc. to recreate the manifold.

You may not be able to reinstall the shroud afterwards, but you will be able to run the compressor.

Remember, the air doesn't care if the path changes a bit, so do what you have to do to replicate the manifold, and if you need to make part of it longer or shorter, no worries, as long as you can get it back onto the compressor.
