HOERBIGER/ORIGA OFFERS FIT AND FORGET GUIDED PNEUMATIC CYLINDER

A new range of guided pneumatic cylinders from Hoerbiger-Origa combines the driving and the guiding elements into a single unitary design that is compact, robust, simple and elegant.

The FZ series is available with a choice of sliding or ball bearing guides and the cylinder can be directly assembled with no mounting accessories required. The drive is double acting pneumatics, with or without end buffers, and the piston is magnetic for ease of position detection. It is available in diameters of: 20, 25, 32, 40, 50mm and standard strokes of : 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 80, 100, 125, 160, 200mm, with special strokes on request.

The FZ is expected to find applications in all sectors of industry, on duties such as lifting, feeding, and stopping of components in assembly and manufacturing. Its straightforward design and low weight makes it ideal for use in multi axes systems, enhanced by the versatile top, bottom, side, back mounting options.

With reliability playing an increasingly important role in engineering success, Hoerbiger-Origa has gone all out to build quality into the FZ, as UK Managing Director Ray Barnes explains:

“Time is one of the most valuable commodities in today’s engineering environment; managing it efficiently can be the difference between success and failure. So we have designed the FZ to simplify the machine/installation design and build function and ensured that its reliability is exceptional so that it will not cause unexpected production downtime and consequent loss of throughput.

“Dismantling of a system and redeployment of the FZ to new duties is also simple, in line with another increasingly common trend in industry."

CLIPPARD INTRODUCES OXYGEN VALVE

Clippard Instrument Laboratory, Inc. introduces the new Oxygen Clean Series electronic valves. Available in 2-way or 3-way, normally-closed or fully ported, the valves are designed for use with oxygen applications and will work with air and inert gas.

The “O-E” Series pneumatic valves utilize a unique patented valve system that has been used and proven throughout many industries. With a low power consumption of only 0.67 watts, a response time of 5 to10 milliseconds, and voltages of 6, 12, or 24 volt DC, these new valves offer unlimited flexibility in design.

The valves are ultrasonically cleaned, assembled, inspected and tested in an enclosed controlled area with a state-of-the-art positive pressure High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filtration system.

For complete details on the “O-E” series of electronic valves that provide safety of operation in oxygen applications with quick response, low power consumption and long life, request a catalog at Clippard's web site or call 1-877-245-6247.

MODULAR ALUMINUM COMPRESSED AIR PIPING

SmartPipe™ is Kaeser's new modular aluminum piping system.

This versatile piping system features lightweight materials and push-to-fit connectors that can be installed without threading, welding or sweating. There are no special tools or trades required to install SmartPipe™ - and the simple to use connecting and mounting hardware will get everything up and running in no time.

SmartPipe™ is exceptionally versatile and can be easily integrated into existing systems made from other pipe materials. It can also be modified to accommodate changing needs.

The smooth, calibrated aluminum provides the best possible flow, and will not rust or corrode over time. Full bore fittings minimize pressure drop and leak-free connectors prevent costly compressed air loss.

LARZEP INTRODUCES AIR POWERED HYDRAULIC PUMPS

Larzep has introduced an enhanced range of air powered hydraulic pumps.

The range which converts compressed air into pressurised hydraulic flow is available with a tank capacity from 2.1 up to 7 L.

Able to operate single or double acting cylinders and hydraulic tools, the pumps are suitable for applications where an electric power supply is unavailable.

Some of the advantages of Larzep’s extended air pump range:

  • Directional control valves as single or double acting manual handle
  • Pedal controlled foot operated valves; pendant control air-operated directional valves for single acting applications
  • Cetop 3 configuration for use with a variety of 700 bar solenoid valves to Cetop interface are all available
  • Due to mining industry demand, the aluminium-free version for use underground is also available.

Other features of the range include: lightweight, portable and easy to carry between job sites; pedal operation option ensures both hands to monitor or position workpiece; packaged with complete operating, safety instructions and parts lists; small dimensions; low noise level of 75 dB is typical; and operates at between 2.8 to 10 bar air pressure.
