Porter Cable compressor with Campbell Hausfeld motor?

I have a campbell hausfeld 3 gallon compressor, and I acquired a porter cable 17 gallon tank with no compressor on it.

Can I retrofit the 2 compressors together, take the motor off the campbell hausfeld and put it on the porter cable tank, the only thing I noticed was the pressure regulator on the campbell is attached to the tank, and there is no extra fitting on the porter tank.

can I bypass the regulator.

If by regulator you mean the adjustable output pressure regulator, then yes, you can put that anywhere before your tool(s).

If you mean the pressure switch, no. you need that to control the motor so it or the tank doesn't get overloaded.

Maybe you could post some pix or model numbers to clarify your question.

You'll need to start new "page" to post pix, up to 4.
