Porter Cable c2006 type 3 compressor will not turnover

I have a Porter Cable C2006 Type 3 pancake compressor that is having trouble turning over to refill the tank when the pressure goes down to 90psi.

It fills up fine when I first plug it in.

The problem only accurse when it has to refill.

The compressor sounds like it starts to turn over but just can't get going.

I replaced the pressure switching thinking that might have something to do with the problem, however that didn't help.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Keep the old pressure switch as a spare, John. I don't believe that was the issue at all.

See the unloader valve page about what they are and what they do. I believe your unloader may not be working.

If it is, then you need to look to your start capacitor. See that page to understand what they are and how they work.

Add a comment with your findings if you wish.

Cheers,

Bill
