plumbing pressure switch

I am replacing the regulator and pressure switch on a speed air do I need to hook up the regulator between the the tank and the pressure switch ?

The pressure switch is in the line between the compressor head and the check valve into the tank.

The regulator is in the discharge line.

So no, do not put the regulator between the tank and the pressure switch, but only on the tank discharge line to where you are plugging in your air line.
