Hi, I just bought this compressor and I would like to know who made it and what model it is.

I would like to know the cfm that it produces.

I do know that it is a two stage head with a 5hp motor 220 volt 1 ph.

On the casting there is the letters AC casted on it.

I did include a picture of the name plate with some numbers stamped on it, somebody cleaned he plate and I'm assuming they removed the makers name. The numbers on top are 6208-2H and below them are the numbers 607.

I have not run it yet.

Hopefully I can still get parts for it. Thanks for any help. Eric

found it!!!
by: barcar

Up til 2 a.m. on the internet but finally found it. It is a Wayne air compressor. Wayne-Vaughn Equipment Company in Fort Wayne, Indiana sent me a PDF manual for mine, which is a model#5163HG. They only have the complete valve assemblies in stock. No other parts available. In the picture of the tag, the top number is the model# and the bottom number is the serial#. Number for Wayne-Vaughn parts is 877-655-6804 X-202. I talked to
Tom and he was most helpful and quite patient. He told me about the history of my particular model (last made in 1950). Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Got one just like it- don't know what it is
by: barcar

I have one just like it with AC-4116 and AC-4136 on it. I got it from a friend, since passed, and he said his father had bought it used after World War II.

I've had it for 20 years and it has been a hoss of a compressor.

Can't verify this anymore but I am also looking for information because two of the valves are leaking and the springs are busted. Got it apart but don't know of any place to get parts. Been on the internet for 3 hours already.

Good luck and I will keep seeking information also.
