Uh, that would be the entire unit.

If you need anything EXCEPT the compressor unit, you can probably sub something current (e.g., pressure switch, check valve, motor, etc).

If your problem is the compressor proper, you're outta luck, I'm afraid.

oil needed for old compressor

my grandfather gave me an old Montgomery Ward air compressor and just curious on what oil I should use cause its low but still operating.

Required oil for the XER6418 is 10W-40 motor oil.

Thanks for that, Greg. Older air compressors like oil with additives and detergents in it? That's what's coming with regular 10W-40, I believe.

Ideally, you'd say what model:
but given that it's old, it's not likely you'll find a manual for it.

Assuming you have looked, and can't find a manual on-line, about all you can do is get some run-of-mill "compressor oil" from your local compressor or big-box store.

If I were you, I'd consider draining and replacing the existing oil, rather than just topping it up.
