On/off switch not switching on or off.

by Alex

I installed my new pressure switch successfully.

Then I took off the cover and adjusted the pressure down. I put the cover back on and everything was fine.

Had to do it again, but this time when I put the cover back on it would not switch on.

I did not see anything fall out and nothing appears to be broken.

This is a Condor mdr11/11ea.

I think it has something to do with the plastic shaft going from the knob to switch(it's not broken).

Has something fallen out or what? I can't figure it out.

I had the same problem

Have a look if there is a small spring like the one I showed in my problem just after your post. The small spring flicks the contacts up or down [on & 0ff] One end of the spring may have come out like mine did. Not much holds it in place and its easy to knock out.

Have you relieved the tank pressure? These switches have a sequence, and yours might be waiting for the pressure to drop, or it's set below minimum for the switch, and you'll have to raise the pressure setting a bit again.
