One cylinder will not pump

it seemes as though that one cylinder is pumping and the other is not and the compresser will not build over 90lbs. of pressure and runs and runs. Is it possiable that something is preventing the one cylinder from pumping air. The model no is 3z496. Jim

Yes, it is possible, and the first thing I would check is the line between the two cylinders, and in particular, the intake valve on the secondary cylinder, assuming that this is the one that is not working properly.
