Older Speedaire / Dayton compressor - what size motor?

it has a tag on it but no information on the tag, it is a 3 cylinder compressor. what i need to know is how big of a motor i need. the tank is a 6o gallon.

A 60 gallon vertical or horizontal air tank is a good size for a compressor, leading me to believe that you might be looking at a 5HP unit, and that will mean 220 VAC power, but I can't be sure. I'm just guessing.
All I can suggest is that you send in another inquiry, but this time, with a photo of the compressor. Perhaps then some of our very knowledgeable readers will be able to comment.
There's no way to tell for sure without seeing it, and even then, not knowing the cylinder size, the gearing, the drive mechanism etc. makes this a tough call.
Check the Repairs page and see if there's a shop near you that you might contact.
And also check the Speedaire page (also linked from Nav bar) to find your closest Speedaire location to see if they can shed some light on it for you.
