old compressor - could be a 2 stage pump?

my grandfather has an old air comprssor that has united states air compressor co. welded into the fram. I think it may from the early 1900s We were wondering if it could be a 2 stage pump

To my mind, if the compressor puts out the flow I need, at the pressure I need, who cares about how it does that, until it's time to fix it, of course.

Does your compressor have two cylinders?
