Oil Leaking

I have a Central Pneumatic (Model 40400) which is leaking oil. The leak appears to be coming from the lower part of the Motor Drive. There are four screws/bolts that hold on the Motor Drive and I wondered if these should/could be tightened to remedy the problem or if there is a gasket of some kind which needs to be replaced. Any suggestions?
Thanks
Jim

Jim, mine leaks at what I think is the same place as yours, though mine is a different make. Could be from the same factory in the orient, as far as that goes.

There are seals to prevent leaks. Try torquing the bolts a bit. I don't worry about the leak in mine. I just check the oil regularly, and wipe up the oil mess as it builds. If it becomes enough of a problem, I'll tackle the teardown and gasket / seal replacement then.

Cheers,

Bill
