Oil leaking out of 67847 filler cap

by DMoran

Hard to see oil level bubble on Model 67847 Air Compressor.

After adding oil, oil now shoots out of cap.

Drained oil and refilled and still same issue. Oil appears foamy when seen on cap.

What can I do to bring unit back to full operation.
This is a splash lubed compressor, and overfilling, even by a bit, might be the cause.

If you are certain that you did not overfill the compressor sump then the problem is likely blow by the piston seals, and compressed air is exiting the oil sump via the fill tube, and taking oil with it.
