oil is shooting out the oil fill tube

Hmmm! That's not good.

Maybe too much oil in the sump? Or, you might have a leak in a gasket that's allowing compressed air into the sump, or you're piston ring is gone allowing compressed air to bypass the ring into the sump.

Let's hope it's the first one, hmmmm?
