Oil coming from the blowdown muffler on Sullair

Oil blows out of the separator or sump muffler on Sullair LS 12, 50 hp screw. I changed the separator, rebuilt min. press. valve and rebuilt the pressure regulator.

Valve

I was told by a Sullair tech not to run this older unit load/unload. I cleaned the pressure regulator which had some oil build up inside and adjusted so unit will run in Modulation. I'm not sure why some pressure remained in control lines after shutdown.Running 2 days so far

The vent valve or blow down valve that silences the air during unload. All parts look good in side the valve. What about the solenoid valve, could that cause it.

Blow down muffler

I think what you're describing as the blowdown muffler is the vent valve, if you dismantle it, you will find a diaphram, it sounds like it might be split, replace that and you may find the problem.

Please use Sullair nomenclature to describe your problem.

I don't know what "blowdown muffler" means.

Thanks.
