Not building pressure to 155 lbs max pressure build 120 lbs not shuting off

Have a Husky vertical oi-less 1.5 horse power 30 gallon tank air compressor bought at Home Depot approx 7 years ago.

Used to fill to 155 PSI and turn off.

Pressure switch failed replaced with new replacement Husky Part 034-0192. This switch is made by Hubbell ICD Archdale NC. Their Part 69JF 10997 4R 1/1 switch on 125 PSI switch off 155 PSI.

Problem is the tank fills to 120 PSI and no higher.

Have to turn off and on manually. Was wondering can the pressure switch be lowered to 100 PSI switch on and 120 PSI switch off?

Pressure switch

Many pressure switches can be adjusted for the cut in cut out settings.

However, it's not your pressure switch that has failed here, it's the compressor itself.

See the troubleshooting page on this site about air compressors that run but don't build pressure for some things to check.
