no air out of air hose through valve on airbrush compressor

i have air coming from my compressor when hose is attached, but when i connect hose to valve body no air comes through, this is even before i connect to airbrush

On photo 1, air is coming from your compressor when the hose is attached, and out the end of the hose. Is that not a coupler I see in the photo? Is it not checked? That means that air will not flow when there is no connector inserted into the coupler.

Now, in photo 2, you have inserted a valve or something into the coupler on the end of the hose. The picture is a bit out of focus so I can't quite see what that is.

However, if air is coming out of the hose when you don't have the valve inserted, and then you insert the valve and the air flow stops, then your valve is has to be the problem.
