new switch won't work

Old switch was 4-port, new is 2 port. I re-plumbed the pressure line from the motor to the switch to include the blow-off/relief valve and gauge. All the new plumbing is fine but the switch, no matter how I wire it, will not turn the motor on and charge the tank. Nothing happens unless I wire the switch out...then the compressor runs fine but I have to unplug the motor myself. What am I missing? mrshllstax@hotmail.com

Marty, do you still have the old switch? Is there not a wiring diagram under the lid?

When you say the old switch was 4 port, sorry, but I don't understand what you mean by that.

Please provide more details as a comment here, or better, yet, start a new post and upload photos of the old and new so we can have a look.
