New 1/2 inch Hose with old 3/8 inch quick-connects

I just bought a 1/2 inch hose with 1/2 inch npt-18 fittings. My compressor is set up for 3/8 inch. What adapter do I need to use my 1/2 inch hose with my 3/8 inch quick-connects already plumbed on my compressor?

Please consult the fittings section here.

Your new hose may indeed have 1/2" threads, but your old fittings are almost certainly 1/4", with a measured threaded part of about 3/8"...

If so, all you need is 1/2 to 1/4 bushings on either end of the hose.

What connect
by: Bill

The first "quick connect" you need to be concerned about is what I call the discharge coupler, which is the last item on the compressor in the line from the tank.

You plug your air line connector into it to get air to flow into the hose.

You, presumably, have connectors on the end of the old air line? You need to remove one of them and add it to the new air line to enable you to plug it in to the discharge coupler.

And, at the other end of the air line is to be another discharge coupler into which you plug the connector on the air tools.

All of this is covered in detail on the couplers and connectors page.
