Compressor:
I have a central pneumatic 47065 air compressor which needs a replacement motor assembly. The motor runs for 5-10 seconds very slowly and has a burning smell. This occurs whether the motor is cold or warm. Because it runs for a short spell, it heats up quickly. I've taken the casing apart and found the windings are burnt on each end of the housing around the armature. I bought this unit from a friend and was told the motor needs to be checked. I've contacted Harbor Freight parts and spoken to support personnel. The man told me to replace the motor assmbly but that they are no longer available.
The 47065 and 94667 models are the same. If anyone could part with their motor please let me know. I really don't want to buy a new compressor, but????. Support said the new assembly if available would cost $40.00. Thanks.
